Sea English Academy in Schaumburg is proud to announce their 8th TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Graduating Class. The 6 new TESOL graduates were awarded their TESOL certificates at a ceremony Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Sea English Academy office.

TESOL certification allows individuals to teach English abroad or domestically.

After having completed the 4 week TESOL curriculum and 2 weeks of practicum teaching in the community, 3 of the 6 graduates plan to teach English abroad, primarily in Asia and 3 plan to seek employment domestically.

When I went off to college, I knew what I was going to do with my life. I was going to become a professional French horn player. Once in the program though, I discovered that being a musician was just not something that I wanted to be. The problem then became finding something I DID want to do. After hearing about SEA English Academy on the radio(WCPT), I started thinking, hey, I could do that. I decided to look into an information session, and it inspired me. Finally, something that spoke to everything I’ve ever wanted from life, combined into one program.
